The basic supplemental health care coverage types include:
• Cancer– skin cancer, carcinoma in-situ, hospital stays and annual care
• Heart & Stroke– bypass, angioplasty, stents, TIAs, hospital stays and annual care
• Critical Conditions– Alzheimer’s disease, deafness, diabetes complications, renal failure and hospital stays
• Hospital– wellness visits, accidents and sickness
• Accident– accidental death, dismemberment, injuries and emergency room visits
There are multiple coverage options including 17 critical illnesses, 14 types of accident injuries and seven other coverage types.
Should a policy holder with cancer, heart and stroke or another critical coverage receive such diagnosis, the lump-sum benefit pays up to $100,000 for each major illness. Recurrent benefits are in place for ongoing coverage after a major critical illness as well. Available products vary by state, with a 30-day waiting period that also does not apply in all states.

Premium-return features include Return of Premium or Cash Value in most states. Basic benefit selection includes your lump-sum choice for cancer, heart & stroke and critical conditions starting at $5,000 and increasing from $10,000 to $100,000 in ten-thousand-dollar increments. The lump-sum benefit for child(ren) is a maximum of $10,000. Riders are available to supplement each coverage type and both basic and rider coverage availability may vary by state.
